I'm Gay, A Frerard, Chapter 2

There were halloween decorations everywhere; jack-o-lanterns were sitting on the front porch and cobwebs covered most of the windows. I was sitting in the lounge when the doorbell rang. I rushed over to answer it to find my four best friends standing there. I invited them in and fetched them all drinks.

I sat down between my closest friend, Gerard Way, and his younger brother Mikey. Mikey needed to wear glasses, because his eyesight wasn't too good. He was good-looking though. He was seventeen, like me. Gerard, however, was beautiful. He had long black hair and beautiful golden-hazel coloured eyes. He was dressed as a vampire for the occasion, of course. He was half a year older than me. He's been my friend longer than anyone else has. Oh yeah, I'm also in love with him. But he has a girlfriend. It's kind of awkward, really. I know it's not just some crush, because I've had these feelings for him for the last two years now.

"Hey Frank! You gonna open your presents now?" A blonde boy called Bob asked. He was nearly eighteen.

I gasped in mock surprise. "You guys got presents for me?! Wow..." I laughed and nodded.

An eighteen-year-old boy with a dark afro who was called Ray handed me a green box with a ribbon on it. I opened it eagerly, laughing when I saw a pink t-shirt inside it. I opened Bob and Mikey's presents; a pair of fingerless skeleton gloves and a Misfits t-shirt. I hugged them all, when I heard Gerard asking,

"Don't you want my present?"

I looked over at him. He left the room and then returned moments later carrying a large box. I walked over to him and opened the box. I screamed when I saw what was inside. It was a white guitar that had PANSY written on it in silver lettering. I had always wanted a guitar of my own, and Gerard knew it. I already knew how to play; I'd learnt on my father's old one. When he put the box down, I jumped on him. He only just managed to keep his balance.

"ThankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouTHANKYOU!"

"Okay, Okay!" he said as I let him go, "I'm really glad you like it." He smiled happily at me.

Nothing really major happened at the party. I played Pansy, and we scared the trick-or-treaters when we answered the door. I had a great time just hanging out with my friends.

After the party I said goodbye to Bob. Then Mikey and Ray were off to another party.

"See you, Gerard," I said sleepily, yawning.

"Aww, are you tired?"

I nodded and he moved closer. "See ya, birthday boy," he pecked me on the cheek and winked before walking in the direction of his house.

I just stared at him. After a minute or so, I went upstairs and collapsed on my bed. I had just been kissed by the love of my life - even if it was only a quick peck on the cheek. And then he'd winked at me - what did that mean? I'd think about it tommorow, today could quite possibly have been my best birthday ever.
